The preschool and pre-K programs are taught together in our Mixed Age classroom (ages 3-4 years). This age range provides valuable opportunities for social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development at a variety of developmental levels. In addition, this setting allows children to explore multiple roles such as learner, teacher, and leader. The maximum number of 18 students in the classroom each day allows the teacher to provide a diverse curriculum rich with unique and developmentally appropriate goals for each child.
Focus for younger students is on cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Children are encouraged to identify and express their needs which builds social skills, independence, and confidence. Students are provided opportunities for art exploration, fine and gross motor skills, language building, writing, and math games.
